Bradford 60s 70s
I have to say that one of my regrets, is that I was not older in the sixties, why you may ask! Well for a start I might have had more money a better camera and be in a position to take alot more pictures than I did. I know, we shouldn't look back with regret, but I do and still do! Anyway here are a few that I managed to take. The camera I recall, was a Voigtlander Vito C 35mm, a German made camera with not the best lens (Lanthar) couldn't afford the Skopar, but it did produce reasonable results. Most of the pictures would have been taken on my afternoon off (Wednesday) as I was then working on Toller Lane in E & M Hazlehurst Photographic Chemist (67/69)., In those days shops tended to close for half day closing, which was when I indulged my hobby, although I'm sure that the Forster Square pictures (young lads larking around) were taken on a Sunday. Anyway I'm still hunting around for sixties pictures in and around the Bradford area. So if anyone out there has any to offer, then e-mail them to bradfordeye@yahoo.co.uk and I'll clean them up in an editing programme (should they require) alongside a name credit and if you have any background info to add, I'll see that's added to the published picture.
