The Bradford Mechanics' Institute Library
This section of pictures came about because of "Bradford Heritage Days", an initiative by Bradford Metropolitan Council to open up council buildings for Bradford people to view, this also included Institute's and Societies, and the Mechanics Institute Library being one of the oldest societies in Bradford seized the opportunity to be involved, as indeed they were last year in 2010.
The pictures were taken on the 10th September 2011 by David Glass, like me a member of the Library along with our spouses. Once again they were pictures from Bradfordeye, not all taken by me, and a display of postcards relating to Bradford from David Hall and a further display from The Mechanics Institute showingf pictures and newspaper cuttings of their very chequered history.
